Looking forward to swapping over my 2021 R4P to the GR Sport R4P end August.

I drive around the narrow Lakeland mountain roads with cliff edges and rocky outcrops. So I'm looking forward to being able to set the pan camera to automatically come on a low speeds as I've seen in the videos because I'm often squeezing the car up to a rock face or rocky outcrops or the cliff edge when other cars are passing on the narrow roads.

Here's the thing. I always fold in the gigantic wing mirrors for these situations before they get knocked off. So, does the pan camera still work, and works properly when the wing mirrors are folded, for the side view?

Re folding the mirrors. Not in my experience with the pan cam on the prius.

In my experience, yes the view comes automatically when you're near the hedges in low speed. I have just tested the view while in park, with the mirrors out, you have 360° view around the car but when folding the mirrors, you only have the front and the passenger side view. There isn't view on driver side and the back. I have often used 360° view when negotiate narrow lane and park in very tight space.

Thanks each. Passenger side is good with mirrors folded. That'll work. Don't understand why the rear view is lost. Useful for reversing up on those narrow lanes to let someone past?

As above, when in D I get views on the passenger side and to the front with the mirrors folded.

I haven't checked [yet], but I'm almost prepared to guarantee that we'd get a rear view when in R. Whether that is in conjunction with a passenger side view or overhead view I'd need to check ...

That's great thx Philip.

When you are reversing you can view 360° around the car. As I commented above with the mirrors folded while in park I can only see front and passenger side. I will try to see this while put the transmission in R with the mirrors folded.

Super helpful thanks folks. This will work for my narrow fit or die roads!
