I was very dubious after reading nearly all of the reviews on the BZ4X but I am very happy with this motion version with AWD.

I have covered 3679 miles since 1st May 24 and although through restrictions I came across when trying to get my wall charger fitted. I have found myself using mainly super chargers to power up.

Around town I am getting 5.1 kW. A full charge gets me 310 miles (without heater on). But even with the heater on it's still working out cheaper than my 2021 Focus diesel to run. Of course to get 500 miles per charge would be nice, I have come to terms with the situation. I often give it full power where permitted and over taking is exhilarating. It is very hard to enjoy driving as I did 50 years ago when I started but EVs have to be the Future. Hydrogen or any other fuels still mean pistons and exhaust, mean oil filters and oil changes. Just get the batteries lighter and able to take more power and range.

Welcome and enjoy your new car. 👌

Do you have a home charger now? With the right EV tariff you can run your BZ for around 2p per mile, with no noticeable increase to your base energy costs.

No.. I have no possibility of getting a drop kerb fitted, council rules.

I know people who have been parking on their drives without a drop kerb for the past 30 years. The police have more important things to worry about.

Police isn't the problem, it's how much of a dick your local council are, as they're the ones that will start throwing notices at you, not to mention if they're particularly vindictive:

I've seen one house in Haringey where they put bollards on the pavement to block up their driveway because it didn't have a drop kerb!

I wonder why some many councils make life hard for motorists. We have a shortage of parking spaces on the local Chelmsford roads, yet we have huge wide expanses of grass that cost fortunes to maintain every year if they turned these into parking and even charging spaces the maintenance would be very little, especially as no one ever cleans the roads anymore.  Still I hate to be selfish or one sided, at least having grass the dogs can s**t somewhere, or they can catch fire and screw the ozone layer a bit more... oh yes that why we brought EV's to keep the pollution down a bit...  there's me going on and I forgot to put out my recycling,  yes the one that ends up in India.

It is a bit weird - Haringey is incredibly anti-car and are making it nearly impossible to park anywhere and have blocked up so many roads the congestion and pollution levels on the main roads have skyrocketted in recent years, but the irony is if all vehicles stopped going into the borough, the council would be bankrupt within a week, such dependence they have on income from fines and charges!
