Hi all, on my last trip I have noticed that coolant temperature was between 90-95C degrees. Is that a normal working temperature - driving on highway with ~80miles? I have measured it with wifi OBD and torque app on my phone.  On the dashboard temperature gauge is in the middle. The car is Avensis 1.8 CVT 2013.

I have the same engine, but do not have anything always hooked up to measure the coolant temperature in detail. The temperature gauge has never exceeded the half way point, even when I discovered early the water pump was failing!
Even during hot days, no issues. The cooling fan only kicks in on demand, and then not much. Air-con which use when needed works well.
If you are losing coolant, then I would be a little concerned!

I have actually changed the water pump and coolant and that was the reason to hook the OBD to check if everything is good . Temperature gauge has never exceeded the half way point either.
