Hey,

So I`ve given up my addiction to german built turbo diesels and got myself a late 2022 Corrolla 2.0 Trek Special Edition so decided I`d join this forum.  Liking it so far and a big change in driving experience to a diesel.  No more DPF or AdBlue!!

Personally bought for reliability and length of warranty, well, hoping it`s reliable, the car was an ex-Toyota factory staff car (only 7500 miles).

Hi Andy, Welcome to the forum.

I have only been on this forum a few days myself. Weirdly my experience is very similar to yours. I have owned a 2020 VW Golf TDi Estate for 3.5 years. In our 70's now and not doing the mileage and the DPF filter keeps clogging. I have recently been driving once a week down the A1M in 4th (sometimes 3rd) gear to keep engine revs at 2,500+ to generate the temperatures necessary to burn off the soot.

Just purchased a 2022 Corolla 1.8 VVT-i Design (mine had 7,278 miles) and I agree " a big change in driving experience " adapting to new methods and systems doesn't get any easier as I get older. 🙄 So here's hoping we both inherit the 'legendary' Toyota reliability. My Reg No is ND22 ??? I think that stands for No Diesel ? Good luck and enjoy the car.

Welcome and you have done well as they are very very rare cars to find in the Trek spec.
