I think in the latest my24 cars this RSA bonging is resolved where it bongs away for being 1mph over the posted limit, well it is on mine.
I’ve read that previously you could deselect it but it reverts once you switch off and on.
I selected visual only a couple of days ago, where it just flashes the speed limit symbol at you instead of bonging too and it is still selected today.
You still get one bong when the limit changes, say going from a 50 down to a 30 limit which I can live with. See options below…

Mine always reverts to fully on when restarted.

Is that from fully off/deselected or as in my case just the audible alert?

Mines an August build September delivery YCP 130. What is yours? I wondering if there’s a subset within MY24 cars?

Just noticed I could even switch off the speed limit change bong too if I wanted too, but I’ll leave that on for the present.

Yeah I can turn the limit change alert off permanently. But it always reverts to on with sound for the over speed limit warning when I restart. Mine’s the normal Yaris 130. I notice yours is a couple of months newer maybe they’ve changed the software on the newest ones ?

Mine behaves in the same way as yours...

Mine bongs a couple of times when I go over the limit, then goes quiet until I drop below the limit but then bongs again if I go over the limit. To be honest I can live with that, the main annoyance (as others have found) is when the limit is wrong due to picking up extraneous speed limit signs.

My June build Excel also reverts everything to on/audible with each restart.

I have a little pre flight schedule.  Start up, set a course for work on CarPlay (checks for traffic) headlights on (I seem to be invisible in Manchester) brake hold on, traffic sign and lane departure off.  I kind of do it instinctively now.

This may be model specific, as the display you have shown is totally different to my YC Design (MY24 built in May).

What model is yours?

Would like to know if the anti bong brigade turn of the speed camera alerts as well?

I did once I found out how. Disable 'beeps' in the infotainment section. I don't need to be told where speed cameras are because I'm never doing anything that would trigger them 😉

I see from the picture you have the TOTAL average on the mpg meter, I can only get the trip average. Is there another option somewhere? Thanks.

Yes it’s in the settings somewhere! You can select either trip average or total average.
