2001 Toyota Avensis (T22- 3ZZ-FE)

Hello to all

Sometimes my car get the 0500 Code (Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) Malfunction).

I was told to clean it before replacing for new one......

Question

I have removed the wheels and i only see the abs sensor, are this sensors 2 functions? 

Am I looking in the right place? (front wheels)

Yes, it’s a speed sensor also called an abs sensor.
