Firthy,

for seat covers I would definitely recommend Walser seat covers, the reason being they come in 3 pieces. the base the back and the head rest, also the back seat splits unlike most seat covers and they fit the starlet very well.

I got mine from the roofboxcompany in kendal (mail order) they were here quickly and £40 for the set. They urinate on the ones in Halfords and argos.

hope this helps

Paul, what course are you doing? I am just along the M4 in bath, and I have to say I have grown to hate uni, final year now - Wahoo!

Cheers bud, gona get some when i get paid

What did you use for your door? Is it just any old fabric??

Posted

yeah its just black fabric - 50p total cost. I borrowed a staple gun and stretched it over the panel and then stapled to the plywood. although its a two person job i think, someone to stretch and someone to staple.

that little dog is a window shammie!

have a nice day

Lemme guess u would get the red ones?

Question to nrgizerbunny, when the seat covers are on, does the material slide everywhere when u turn corners? plus are they easy to put on? or did u need to do some modifying to it?

Yeah, or is that too much??

Il have to look at the other colours they do :D

Hmmm maybe get the grey/black looking ones, then RED isnt so much in ur face everywhere hehehe.. know what i mean ;)

Posted

Up to you if u want it too look loud to the public eye :D

Posted

Yeah, tough decision, that new york red doesnt look too bad, but then again the black/grey is pretty good too, will have to think...

Just out of interest a couple of years ago there was a silver starlet that had been fully modified, but tastefully may i add, the interior of it was awsome it had black and grey leather interior and the seats had a chinese symbol embroyded into it, looked awsome

Posted

I'd get the red ones if i had the choice. cos they look nice and would suit yr car nicely cos its also red. the grey/black almost looks like OE seat covers but again much nicer than the originals.

once there on they don't go anywhere. They are easy to put on because they come in 3 pieces. To make my life easier I just took the seats out but you could do it while they are in the car. the covers cover the whole of the seats. some crap ones don't cover the back and look crap.

no mods were necessary.

Posted

U didnt even have to cut holes for the head rest poles? wow no mods :D

Cool, seeing my car is black i might just go for the black/grey ones... wise choice? :D

Posted

ooh yes i had to cut them. they come with little plugs to stick over the top, but i used the ones off the seats. Wouldn't really class that as a mod because in the instructions it says too.
