Thinking about getting a cheap set of used wheels to use as winter wheels and keep the 18" wheels for the summer.

Decent used Corolla wheels seem to be thin on the ground, but there are plenty of avensis wheels out there. Would they work?

I think they are different centers and stud spacing... Hence expensive to find replacement

They will likely fit but you need to double check here.

My prius wheels didn't fit my newer corolla or chr... Avensis is an older generation so unlikely to fit, mate of mine has Avensis wheels on his prius so unless somthink has changed I still think not.

Prius and Lexus CT200h has same sizes where Avensis, Corolla and Auris has different from these two but exchangeable in between. Prius plus is only Prius that shares stud pattern and central bore with Auris, Corolla.
That’s why I have given the website and the op can compare. 👍

Thanks for that link, looking at that the only difference between Corolla and avensis wheels is that the Corolla is 7J ET40, whereas the avensis is 6.5J ET39, so the avensis wheels are half an inch narrower.

Not sure if this would cause any issues if they were fitted to a corolla?

Most likely not, however here you can check.

I think that they will fit (but you would have to notify your insurer of the change in wheel size).

& if you are interested I have a set of 17", 5x114.3 from an Avensis T27 T4 sitting here in Glasgow (the powder coating is going so could use a refurb but they have not been kerbed). Actually fitted with Conti Wintercontacts with 5-6mm of tread on them.
