Shock absorbers

I am trying to locate a set of front and rear shock absorbers for my Carina 2 1600 cc and can’t get them locally. There are quite a few on eBay but they are labelled for a 2000cc Carina 2.

Can anyone tell me if they will fit a 1600cc Carina 2? I am wary of ordering in case they don’t fit and the hassle of returning.

they might fit physically but there will be slight difference and they likely to be harder to accommodate extra weight from the larger engine.

KYB is what you want - it's essentially what the car came with from factory.

The 363062 model Tony has referenced above is correct for the front. Note - this is sold as an insert. Which means you rebuild you existing struts and replace the old damper cylinder and piston with the new insert. In other words, do not bin your old ones!

For the rear you buy a complete new strut and hence they are different for left and right:
333063 - Left rear
333064 - Right rear

Thanks for your help. I will order inserts for the front as the rears are still okay
