Hi everyone, for those that are thinking of buying an AA wireless adapter, I bought a Cuarko adapter , after connecting it up it works ok , couple of bits of interference ( no interference with bluetooth to car ever ) adapter got quite warm, phone also got quite warm, have to leave WiFi on on the phone all the time unfortunately which led to high Battery usage , failed to connect once after being out of the car for 20 minutes , positives though , Spotify easier to use , can browse through your songs / albums etc , talk to text via ok Google is great , unfortunately can't send a text via talk with stock unit . Tbh the only thing I miss about the stock Toyota system is the ability to send a text via speaking . I have returned the wireless adapter. Hope this helps anyone thinking of buying an adapter.

Thanks for your reply, I'm kinda put off a bit getting a different make because I got told they all get a bit warm and it warms your phone up because it's running a few things , was looking at the AAwireless adapter but I'm a bit on the fence about it , does the Carlinkit 5.0 get warm??? Does your phone warm up ???

I too use carlinkit 5 ( about 18 months now ) and even in ridiculous temps like today at @34c in the south. No issues.

Nope thats cpu temp not ambient air temp. Cpus can run at 85-90c before complaints emerge lol

temperature of your phone is not related to adapter. the phone runs services in background depending on whats on your cars AA screen when driving and ofc it drains some Battery and in return generates a fraction of heat.

i run waze and spotify or tune-in music player when driving. with ~1h driving daily i dont see any dramatic impact on Battery. definetly drains less than if id run waze directly on my phone
