Car is a 2022 reg 2.0 litre GR Sport.

Next month we are travelling on a car ferry and wondered if there was a way to disable the motion sensor and still lock the car, I see that the interior motion sensor can be disabled but am struggling to find i this will disable both.

You can try disabling the motion sensor with the button - if the alarm still goes off on the ferry just take the key blade out the fob & manually lock the vehicle.

I've never found any documentation to prove the C-HR has a vehicle motion sensor incorporated in to the factory security system for the UK market - it should do being Cat 1 rated 🤔

Google suggests that to lock a car without enabling the alarm - which is basically what you want - you lock the doors from the inside, get out and lock the door that you left by with the physical key ...

The button up by the rear-view mirror disables both the intrusion sensor and the tilt sensor.

(Now you know the Toyota names for these things you should be able to find them in the manual! 😉 )
