Decided to change it but there's so many options.

Any advice please?

ie should I go for one with Activated Carbon or just Standard?

Any particular brand?

Price, then vary from £4 to £30+

Thanks all.

You can do with most basic cabin filter as good as the most expensive with added carbon or other elements, who best what will do is to make the filter heavier and colourful.
What is the most important here is to change this filter with every service 10k miles or 12 months, and not as manufacturer recommended 20k miles or 24months. The enhancement of the filter does not extend the life of it.
The life is dependent on where you drive and how much you  drive.
Big cities or dusty areas change more often.
Don’t drive a lot, live in small towns, garaged car can do longer intervals.
My personal preference for cabin filters are blueprint without carbon. They are ultra cheap but also very well made from quality paper and they have blue colour when new that changes to black when getting old and ready for replacement. I believe these are better than originally Toyota cabin filters.

Enhanced filters are supposed to provide more effective filtration, not to last longer.

True,

And particularly to reduce odour intake. However these enhancements in real world has very little benefit and imo does not worth the extra cost. Just personal preference. 👍

The Bosch one I've purchased is with Activated Carbon. It's £20 from Amazon, same was £30 from Halfords. I'll settle for that.

I like the active carbon, although I always baulk at the cost difference vs plain paper. 😆

The cabin filter makes no difference to the vehicle, it's purely for passenger protection & comfort. Think of it as though you're buying yourself a dust mask and that should help you choose something right for your budget & requirements.

Think that info is incorrect, Toyota replaced the cabin filter on my 10k service. Definitely don't need to buy them yourself if they're getting changed at every service (assuming you're getting your car serviced by Toyota that is).

Quick question, the filter I'm taking out has "top" written on it, the one I'm replacing it with has an arrow showing airflow direction. Is airflow from top to bottom?
