Strange request warning 😄

I noticed the centre air vents are tucked under the screen so wondered as I prefer to sit as high as i can airflow to my face would be restricted, when its hot i like to have the AC blowing in my face i know i can use the side vent but i like to drive with my right hand on the wheel which would block the flow.

Can owners here let me know of the screen does block the flow when you are sat in your car, thanks.

I find from where I'm sitting the vent has plenty of clearance to blow at my face if need be, although I find it too chilly to put up with that for long.

However, if you drive with both hands on the wheel it does tend to have the same problem you mention with the side vent of your arm getting in the way.

Yaris and Yaris cross from MY24-> has reworked dashboard and different position of the central air vents, perhaps to fix this issue.
On the previous models it is obvious that the screen blocks the air flow so I think it’s not just you. 👍

It's a bit of a compromise as you loose the only half-useful tray storage area in the car (The other one is just a catapult in disguise  ). It's too much to rework now but IMHO they should have mounted the vents to the side of the infotainment or maybe move them lower so they're just above the HVAC controls instead of recessed

Tony can you get the airflow from the centre ducts to go as high as your face in your car?

I certainly  can do that, but my car is different from Yaris.

I can, and did.

The vents blew into my face, and slightly above my head. I don't think you'll have any issues. So, to answer your question, no the screen doesn't block the airflow.

I would, however, suggest that you take one for  a test drive and check it out yourself.
