Aygo fuel pump cover

Hi everyone, I have a 2008 Toyota Aygo and I have recently noticed that sometimes there is a smell of petrol coming from it. I have lifted the back seat and I can see that the cover of the car's fuel pump compartment is detached although I see no signs of fuel spillage. Do you know what I can use to fix this cover? With normal silicone perhaps? Thanks in advance!

iirc it is a non-setting butyl rubber aka low modulus mastic you can also use PU sealant whats cheap and freely available

I found a PU sealant from Sikaflex and going to try it.
