Silencing RSA notifications in the 2024 CHR Design PHEV

Guys can some one correct me if I am wrong. I think I have found a way to turn off the annoying sound notification for RSA. Here is my logic if you go to Settings and navigate to the RSA option then have a long press on the OK button you are presented with some options they are 1) Visual and sound warning 2)Visual only. Now I know if you turn of the RSA option it bounces back on your next ignition start up. However if you leave your RSA option on and select option 2 I presume those annoying sounds will be absent or does that only refer to speed limitation i.e. if you exceed the the set speed limit even by a small margin the sound warnings will come back. Anyone have any thoughts on this ?

Try it and let us know the outcome ... 😉

I have an earlier version of the safety system which defaults to visual only which doesn't bother me at all. I've never switched on irritating audio warnings.

My reading of your manual suggests that you should be able to switch to visual only and that setting will stick. And one forum member has previously reported that this was the case.

So there's hope ...

I believe it’s in the “settings” menu in the dash 👍 A  downside of the new gen CHR is the amount of driver aids and customisation available which does take quite a bit of time to find your way around. I spent several hours sat in the car on my drive trying to get to the point where I knew where everything was , over 4 months in I’m still not 100% sure 🤔

Hi Guys regretfully its a no no .

Any action which makes changes  in the Settings reverts to the default settings where everything is on every time you start the car. However turning off the RSA is very painless from the Setting menu located in the middle of the main driver screen for speed etc. You can also turn off either 1)visual/audio alerts 2) Visual only but they all resurface after each and every car restart but its a bit more fiddly.

The downside is you have to remember to change the setting every time  before the commencement of your journey.
