Celica Gen 7 (1999) 1.8 VVTi manual - where best to sell

Hi all

Newbie member here, but my wife unfortunately wants a newer car than her beloved Celica, which is a shame as she's a perfect runner (the car, that is!).

My question is about where best to sell it, and how - main car mags, specialist web sites (this one? I appreciate membership is required to sell), local car groups etc?

All cards on the table, whilst she's a great runner and well looked after (regularly serviced), she is showing her age a bit more. There are some cosmetic body dings and dents and a few moremaintenance jobs she would benefit from, and yesterday the sunroof didn't extend out as it catches on the driver side (motor still works). It's silver, full leather, ULEZ compliant, with 115,000 miles on it and FSH.

What would people recommend as next steps?

Whilst we love the car, we know it is probably best listed as a good 'do-er upper' for someone with a bit of knowledge, some time, love and a little money - it would still be a great little runner.

I'd appreciate any thoughts!

Once I guage best way forward, I will of course provide pics etc.

Cheers

You could try the "for sale" section here. Have you any pics?

Hi, Mike.

A Gen 7 that's lasted for 25 years is a feat in itself. What, if anything was picked up at the last MOT?, as it's a rusting underside that kills the majority of these cars.

I sold mine through eBay, but yours (by age) qualifies for Car & Classic, which is a damn sight cheaper than AT.

HTH, and good luck with the sale.
