Coolant loss on 1.4 D-4D EGR Valve

Hello there

I have an Toyota Auris 5p 1.4 D-4D Auris 2008 that works perfectly except for one thing, its slowly loosing coolant fluid (Just a little amount from time to time). From what I can see, the only place where its leaking is at the bolt of the EGR Valve:  https://postimg.cc/WD0h46Rh

My question is, how to know if the valve is malfunctioning, or is it the head gasket? Any tips in how to test it?

Thanks, Fran

That's unusual, I didn't even know the EGR had any coolant lines going to it! The usual source of coolant loss in older D4Ds is the water pump...

Hello I believe it has nothing to do with the head gasket Check the EGR by removing it, as there is a possibility that it is blocked even at the point you describe

He probably means the continuity of the EGR in the exhaust gas coole
