toyota aygo 2017 wireless lock actuator

Hi guys, I'm just wondering I came across this (see image) and I was wondering, how do you even use this? Is it programmable into your key?

that's a standard lock actuator it does 2 jobs locks/unlocks the tailgate, allows you to open the tailgate by pressing the button on the tailgate handle

It does not "pop" the tailgate open

I was really hoping that it would have that function, especially if you just want the tailgate to open. 😁

tbh i don't know if it is possible on the Aygo - you can get the 3 button fobs with boot release without more digging to find if the lock receiver in the car has the output things get compicated

Hi

Was easy without 3 button remote.

I bought electrical boot release. Open boot from inside or outside. Boot blocked when car doors are closed with original remote. For that function installed a cheap door locker.

Please look pictures and you will understand. Only a little of electricity.

I had an extra fob and soldered a button to it. I was able to program it so that the unlocking and locking of the doors work, but unfortunately, the trunk pop feature didn’t. 😞

I’m considering going to the dealer to ask the mechanic if they can check if it’s possible to get it working. If I end up doing it, I’ll definitely send an update!

This is pretty cool! I see you’ve connected the button to the trunk, but  you changed the push button. It can be a bit hard to press at times. What size and type of button did you use?

remote wise the 2 button fobs need other components not just a switch, the remote receiver in the car will have another output just for the boot release

yeah totally understand, I was just hopen everything was already in the car you just needed to access it 🤠
