I’ve currently got a Honda ZRV advance hybrid traded in my corolla hatch excel 2020 for the Honda but have regretted it ever since. The main thing is with the Honda is the lane mitigation nonsense it’s to sensitive and is doing my head in and you can’t turn it off permanently it’s forever trying to centre the car back in line of the road and tugs at the steering wheel.

I’m thinking of trading it in for a Yaris cross excel what I want to know is has the Yaris got the same system as I have read on honest John a customer review that they could not permanently turn off the white line following which I assume is the same as lane mitigation.

You can adjust its sensitivity in settings, and a long press of the 'lane tracking' steering wheel button disables it each journey (not sure if the disable switch only applies to earlier models)
Go for a test drive to compare with the Honda

So you can’t turn it off permanently same as the Honda ? And does it still activate on its lowest sensitivity setting when going down country lanes I think I will visit Toyota dealer to find out more was also thinking about a rav 4 as well

I leave mine switched on but only lane assist, not centre lane which is a permanent option, it doesn't reset each time). Hardly ever intrudes and if it does its minor, the beep is more annoying. A 3 sec press will turn off everything until next journey.

With cruise control on, it's more intrusive but you get used to it. Now and again a T junction with a lot of white lines can confuse the cruise control and Lane assist and a couple of times it has jerked unexpectedly.
