Handbrake cables?

Car has just been in for a service and they mentioned 'Rear handbrake cable casings starting to split. Check next service.'

Now I would prefer to get them done sooner, rather than later, likely with my mechanic.

So I gave the dealer a ring to find out how much they cost. £88 each inc VAT !!!! 😡

That looks like just the inner core. Rear handbrake cable casings starting to split sounds like the outer sheath or rubber sleeve is starting to come apart.

that is universal inner only, ncp150 is also a yaris saloon aka Vios

also, be aware that the website is eu based poss parts of the German car part mafia (aka autodoc) - note the £15 shipping costs

 

a cracked outer casing is nothing to worry about tbh

Oh, I had a quick peek at a Youtube video and that had the casing as well, so thought that was how they came. I did not look too closely at that.

Have now found a much better price and they do come with the casing.

My car is a NSP130R-CHFNKW
I have even asked the place where I got my Toyota horns from. Waiting for a reply from them, as I could not find my model on their site. Though I will likely get them from the above site.

Just noticed from Flash22's signature mine is a French Built Yaris, as it starts with VNK.
