Hi Folks.

Currently on the hunt for a petrol 7 seat Verso. Budget around 4-5k. A lot of what I am seeing for that money is 2009/10 plate cars with anything from 100k-140k on the clock. This seems like a decent chunk of change to me for a fairly high mileage car so my question is. How high is too high a mileage for a car in your opinion? Am I being a bit fussy and not giving Toyota reliability enough credit? Thanks in advance

It depends a lot on how the miles were accumulated, and how frequently it was serviced.

petrol or diesel ? 10-15k miles per year is average, i know Bristol has clear air zones and pre-euro 6 diesel (up to 2016) has a charge

Hi it's petrol I'm looking at mainly because of the Bristol air zone but also because I mainly drive in the city.

That motor is good for 200k with good maintenance

I was thinking around 200k which begs the question is spending a decent chunk of dough acceptable on a car with over 100k?

In my mind, you buy a car because it suits your needs, and in the case of Toyotas, for reliability.

The fuel economy comes as a bonus.
