Hiya folks, thanks for having me in the forum. This is a link to a diagnostic tool which I hope might be of use for my CHR 1.8 ICON 2023, would this be suitable or can anyone suggest a good affordable alternative.https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/375318450602?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&fromMakeTrack=true

Many thanks in advance.

£80 seems steep.  Others also on eBay from about £30.

Thanks Alan, I did see others but not too sure about them being as good as their claim. Hoping there was an expert on here who could point me in the direction similar to the VCDS set up for VW etc.vehicles.

I’ve used a cheap one from eBay, it works fine.  Techstream doesn't seem to be as comprehensive as the VAG group one but there are quite a few settings to play with, and it does live data and fault code resets etc.  See this thread for some screenshots.

Thanks Alan, I'll take a peep at that 👍

This is the best diagnostic tool money can buy.
Currently with 30% off and free lifetime subscription.
I had two of their basic versions, and I seen this upgraded version on offer yesterday, so ordered one straightaway. £45 for new model plus free lifetime subscription to unlock all functions is absolutely cracking deal 👌👍

This thing is super easy to connect and understand plus and does great good job - scans most ECU’s and can do different settings, clear codes etc

Must have obd adapter.

Got the adapter yesterday and it looks a good one.
Plugged in and tested, all works very similar to basic Carista adapter.
Now need to find someone with faults in their car to check if will clear codes for free.

Nice one mate, ive finished up with a Foxwell NT530 PLUS, 164 quid but it does the lot and hopefully as good as the VCDS that i'm used to on my VW's.  Here's hoping I never have to use it , in anger anyway.
