We have done a dual car change from a 21 Yaris Design and a 22 Corolla Design to an Aygo X Exclusive manual and a Yaris Cross GR Sport 130 ps.

My car has gone from the Corolla to the Aygo X and from the test drives as a commuter car (18 miles each way mainly 40-50 mph limits) I am amazed at the negativity of most reviews.

The car handles well, the ride isn’t bad considering 18” wheels, great seats and the ability to sit at 80mph (in France obviously) is excellent. Unless you’re planning multiple single carriageway overtakes I can’t see an issue.

we also test drove a facelift Picanto and with the same deposit a base Picanto 2 was £20+ a month more than the Aygo X Exclusive.

Seat comfort the Aygo X won hands down so really the only downside was rear space. It will be our 2nd car, and (disappointingly by foregoing the canvas roof) we can fit 4 adults in for short journeys.

Looking forward to going back to more natural driving, but sorry no way will our main car be a manual again). Should be a fun pair of cars.
