I decided to have a look at the places I'll need to access for a jump start. I really don't want to break the shiny new relay box so please, can anyone tell me how to open it. Is there a YT video? The ones I've found don't really help.

You push the tops of the tabs around the fuse box to release them then the lid lifts off. The positive jump start terminal is under a clearly marked, brightly coloured cover.

Push them outwards? Or in towards the cover? One Ytuber does it with his hands totally obscuring the removal. He does show a good bolt for the negative clip on the jumper though, as the one supplied won't reach the recommended place. Thanks for the help by the way. I'm going to do a dry run over the weekend, but with the booster switched off of course.

Push the top of the tabs in towards the cover. Try it 😉

Had planned to do it this morning - now tipping it down here so will try when it's dry.  Thanks for the help and advice.

I wonder what I'll do if I really need to jump start in the rain, as I suspect that opening the relay box (or even the bonnet) wouldn't be a good idea. If they made the actual Battery more accessible inside the car that would be great - I've watched a few YT videos where they almost destroy the rear seats in order to access it so I'll persevere with open bonnet access for now.

The bonnet should shelter the relay just enough as its placed rather deep.
