Rav4, 2 liters engine, 3 Doors (short version) with caravan

Does anyone have experience with driving a Rav4 (3 doors, short version) with a caravan. I want to buy one to tow the caravan

Have you checked all the relevant weight information?

According to Parkers it will tow 1500 kg. The car itself is 1220 kg.

Bear in mind if you tow with a caravan MTPLM over 1220kg (100% weight ratio) you may breach the conditions of your insurances, even though you might be legal. I personally would be wary of towing with such a short wheelbase vehicle.

To add to my previous email do not take any car weight website info as gospel. The ONLY information that matters is that on the VIN plate, V5 or better still the Certificate of Conformity. Vehicle weights and towing limits vary from year to year and trim to trim.
