I have owned this 2022 Corolla 1.8 Design for a few weeks now.

In the App I have an item ' Connected Services Centre ' which lists ' 2 Active '

Trial Services

Standard Services, Active, Expires on 21 May 2032.

Smart Services

Active, Expires on 21 May 2026

Now assuming all/most of you have seen these I won't type out their full explanation !

They both give me an option to Deactivate.

Do I actually need these services ? I have read plenty about flattening the 12v Battery and these connected services seem to get a bad name.

Your thoughts and experiences would be much appreciated.

I'd leave them connected, it's handy to be able to see things on the app plus the Battery drain will be minimal as the car will likely already have the emergency system anyway.

For the facelift, you can start the car up in winter to get the ice off the windows through connected services and the app.

Standard services is the SOS system, connected services is 90% of the My T app what is standard 4 years

deactivating it in the app does not disable the DCM in the car
