I don't understand "A malfunction in the pre-collision"

I'm week two into owning a two year old Aygo Cross.  I had to have a new windscreen put in this week.  Since then, my Toyota app has come up with two messages:

1.  A malfunction in the pre-collision system has been detected.  Immediately contact any retailer to have your vehicle inspected!

2.  A malfunction in the Lane Departure Alert System has been detected.  Immediately contact any retailer to have your vehicle inspected!

I was wondering if anyone can kindly let me know if this is because of the new windscreen and also would it cause the accelerator to make a noise when I'm accelerating or would that be a separate issue?

I've just parted ways with my 17 yo Citroen cool which doesn't have any technicalities, so all this is new to me.  If I'm honest, I feel a little out of my depth owning this new car.

Thank you in advance.

I would suspect it would be the "radar" or "Camera" that was attached to the windscreen.

Pre-collision system and lane departure system will need "Sensors" for it to function.  And those sensor... well obviously was located on the Windscreen, typically at top centre.

So either the guy fitted the windscreen did a bad job by not transferring them over / did not align them probably, or those sensor needs to be re-calibrated.

Either way, you'll probably need to contact the guy fitted the new windscreen OR visit the dealer.

I would try first with the windscreen people as the dealer will charge for the recalibration.

I'm going to get a refund for the car.  I'm not happy with it nor the poor service I am receiving.

Don't worry about the error message. Just get it back to the dealer for a refund.

It will be a calibration issue. The windscreen company can offer this, i would check with the one you used for replacement if it should have been part of the service.

One of the reasons I used the Toyota main dealer when I required a replacement windscreen as the camera recalibration was included as part of the job.

What company put in the new windscreen? Was it an insurance job? If it was, the proper course of action is to contact the people who replaced the windscreen glass and get them to recalibrate the ADAS - This is something they should have done as part of fitting the new windscreen and omitted for some reason.

My Mk4 had to have the ADAS recalibrated when I had a new windscreen.

If that noise you're hearing is coming from the windscreen and wasn't there before, raise that too as they may not have bonded the windscreen on properly; Usually they're pretty good about that though so I don't know if this noise you mention is normal or not.
