PHEV tyres 101V Vs 105V

Swapping over tyres on the new GRS R4P when I get it to CC2s. I need better grip in wet and snow and muddy tracks. Covered in many other posts.

Just looking at the tyres in the dealer fitted to a GRS R4P they're 235/55 R19 101Vs.

I've found CC2s the same size and speed rating but a different load rating of 105 rather than 101s. Any reason at all to be bothered?

Cheers all

No ...

They exceed the required specification so that's OK. And by only a little bit so the driving experience will still be fine (and different from the OEMs anyway). 😉

The 18" wheels come with 100 H rated tyres - it's the same car. Those tyres are rated to carry a load of 800 kg per tyre at 130 mph.

A 105 V will cope with 925 kg at up to 149 mph. Good luck with the challenge of getting anywhere close to that load or speed ... 😄

No problems at all.
Let us know how do you feel the car after replacement.
Road noise, handling,  steering response,. usually all seasons tyres make the car feel very different. 👌

You can certainly buy the correct tyre.

The attachment is from Costco.

Thanks Ernie. Quick and only found the 105s. Great price too. I'll take a look at Costco.

If they are doing the £100 discount for buying four tyres it’s an even better price. I’m currently waiting to buy these myself, mine have done relatively low milage but are now 3.5 years old and I recon that as I’d allocated the cash to buy them when I got the car I’d treat myself to some new ‘shoes’ before the autumn/winter.
