Creaking drivers seat

Hi all. I have a 2017 Prius Plus Excel. Over the last few months the seat or vicinity there's a creaking noise when accelerating or pulling away, its a definite creak and I've tightened the seat bolts and put rubber washers under the bolts as well as lubed the runners and all visible parts under the seat. Has anyone experienced similar?

Many thanks

Hi Lee,Given the things you have tried haven't resolved the problem, IMO I think the noise could be coming from the seat frame or adjustment mechanisms. Shifting the seat to different positions might help locate the noise. It's also possible that the plastic trim or panels around the seat could be the causing this, as these parts can sometimes move and cause creaks.Another reason could be the springs within the seat cushion. If there's wear and tear, this might cause noise when pressure is applied.Check the floor and mounting points again, as even slight movement here could lead to creaking.I would also inspect the dashboard and centre console, as sometimes sounds can travel from other parts of the car.👍

Thank you, I'll try those things. It's solid and there's no movement and worst case I can live with it 🫣

It could be the airbag inside the seat back. My drivers seat has that and sometimes a feeling that something is moving in the seat back. Also if you have adjustable lumber support that could be causing the noise.

That’s pretty normal for all Toyota cars .
Soon or late they all starting to do it.
Just ignore it is the best solution.
The noise comes from the springs and there is no cure for it. , or there is possible one if you like to take the seat out, remove all upholstery, and try to find from which part of the metal frame or springs comes the creaking noise.  In Auris forum there is a thorough post with pictures about that matter and eventual fixing of the problem, it’s made by Gerg member if I remember correctly. Maybe you can try search in Google to find the post. My car does all that and so been in few more Prius cars previously.

Thanks everyone, think I'm going down the ignoring route, it's a good car, cheap to run, maintain and tax 👌
