Hi everyone,

I have recently fitted an aftermarket head unit in my iQ (2010, manual, RHD) to use Apple CarPlay. Installation was easy and it works well.

The microphone provided with the unit is really bad, so I didn't install it.

I have the OEM microphone still installed along with the OEM bluetooth system. I would like to detach the OEM mic from the bluetooth and connect it to my aftermarket head unit.

Does anyone know where the jack for the OEM mic is? The mic itself is installed in ceiling next to light, as standard.

I hope someone can help as right now I'm having to switch my phone to speaker in order to talk on a call.

you will need to use the one that comes with the radio as the oem one is powered and the wrong impedance
