Awaiting bZ4x and Hive installation.  My supplier is eon next and I have solar panels.  Any advice on tariff or charging will be grateful received.

The quote I received from Eon for the EV tariff worked out more expensive. In my case the additional amount charged for normal tariff hours cost far more than the amount saved charging the car. This is changed if you do more charging and less normal use.

I'm interested in the subject as we're in exact the same position - soon receiving BEV, we have solar PV and waiting for the charger from Toyota(Hive(British Gas(3rd party installer))). I don't know, how to get the quote as Eon website crashes every time I'm trying to get one:

I managed to get a quote just now. You’ll see you pay 5p more between 0700hrs until midnight. That made it at the very best for me a break even and probably cost more.
The other thing to consider is that to get the savings you are completely reliant on software in the charger or car. I’m sure the Hive is ok, but I would never rely on the Lexus / Toyota App as it is incapable of preconditioning at a set time !
Seriously, if the Hive is using WiFi rather than hard wired then are you sure your WiFi  is strong enough to connect the App to the charger ?
