Change from miles to km

Is it possible to change the speedometer display to km. I am going to France and my speedo is only showing speed in mph

Yes, in vehical setting you alter units to l00/km or km/liter and this will alter speedo too

I did not succeed in getting my EU-spec Bz4X to change from kph to mph. I called at a main dealer in the UK and they said it wasn't possible.

Why would changing the way fuel consumption is displayed (in either case those are in metric - SI - units) change the speedo from mph to kph?

as you have been told elsewhere this is an EU spec. issue. UK cars have the option of miles or km, EU cars don't.
