Is the R N and E supposed to light up when dark ?

yeah they do, my previous mk2 did.

It is a single bulb 90981-11018, 1.2w, 12v capless

 

edit. 286 bulb iirc the LED equivalent is T5

Can I change bulb myself or do I need to take I to a dealer

it depends on how deep your pockets are 😀 

pop the gear stick surround/cup holders out with a trim tool or a taped-up flat blade you should have just the incorrect amount of space to get at the the wiring and bulb
