Toyota Dash cams

I have had my Lukas dash cams front and back in both my Auris and Prius and have been faultless. I installed them fron is easy but rear very hard. Fit details on TOC back in 2016.

The dealers now offer a Toyota installed front and back as an accessory on BZ4X.  

Has anybody any experience of this fit?

I have no intention of removing the the cameras from the Prius, to much risk of causing damage to trim but I like "black box" type dash cams.

My dealer handled it for me 😊. They installed back and front.

Yes. Toyota dealers have been offering Nextbase dash cams for a while now as a dealer fit accessory. They do the job perfectly well and are not excessively intrusive.

We have them on my RAV and the wife's C-HR ... 👍

I had a 380GWX fitted when I bought. Does the job and don't really notice its there. Connection to phone not the most intuitive but works ok when you get used to it.

No idea what make but the I thought it was a Toyota badged device. The best look like a roll of sweets horizontal.  My rear camera I'd very small and the cable is routed with the rear wash to the lid (not easy but neat). As the BZ has no rear washer I guess this means the cable will flex. While in the RAF I fitted lots of military radio kit to various vehicles so am a bit of perfectionist installing stuff so it's hidden to avoid distraction.  I do not allow mobile phones on in the car even back seat passengers.

My Lukas came from Canada and is qvia now.. I guess they are all similar.

My dealership installed front & rear dash cam for me. Nextbase seems to be their preferred manufacturer. Works ok.

Given that the car has decent cameras anyway, it's a pity the car can't make recording itself.

the Toyota dash cams are Next base 

i bought the next base 522 GW as a kit from Halfords (comes with front camera, rear camera, SD Card, and case?

had it fitted and working in 30mins was easy to do myself all cables hidden as well 

think Toyota wanted £400 got mines for just over £200
