After much deliberation I've finally sold the GT86 and have bought a 2021 Corolla Icon Tech Hybrid 1.8 to use as my daily.

Although it's very much at the lower end of the model line-up it really does have everything I need for the intended use. Several years ago I had an Excel 2.0 with all of the bells and whistles and of course fairly strong performance. Now if I need a performance rush I use my GR Yaris!

Maybe my perception of refinement has been skewed of late, dallying an early GT86 and a GR Yaris but this Corolla is very refined. Maybe its the smaller alloys as compared to the previous Corolla??

Hi Bob, I ultimately preferred the GR Yaris and only really need one performance car and its great to be back in a Toyota Hybrid.

A very nice two car garage you have, what more could you want?

One day I'd love to have a GR86 (Or an S2000) alongside my corolla 2.0 touring for my perfect 2 car garage but still a bit to go before I can achieve that!

Great move, well done. 👌
The smaller 16” wheels and more rubber makes a ton of difference comparing to the 18” wheels.
Many people can’t realise that until they drive both specs one after the other., they probably gonna get rid of the 18”s first thing next day morning.
