Hi folks,

So as the title, the washer jet on the driver side is barely able to jet water above the metal arm of the wiper.  Most of the water jet hits the screen below the arm - so obviously that's no use. 😅

I took it to my garage and he took a look but he said everything was working okay, and that the jet nozzle wasn't one that could be re-positioned (I thought that would be the case (re-position the nozzle) and I had already tried that - prior to taking it to them).

Has anyone experienced this issue and resolved it? Ideally I'd like both jets to hit mid-windscreen for effective cleaning... 👍

Thank you all. 😊

It's most likely a teeny tiny bit of debris/dirt that has gotten into it - My dad's Verso had that and we ended up removing the jet and blowing through it with a can of compressed air and poking it with a thin bit of wire until it started working again!

Tee _J Hi have you tried pushing a pin into the jet.

Hi @Derek.w, indeed I have! I thought I could re-position the jets but the nozzles didn't move...then my garage told me that it was not possible with the washer jets on my car. 🙄

Hmmm... Thanks @Cyker - I should try that...

"I need to find a thin bit of strong wire..."  (he says, scratching his head in thought...)

I used a dressmakers pin but that was years ago for partly blocked jet.

Swap the jets around just to make sure the problem moves with the jet and there isn't something weird going on like a blockage in the pipework. If it's one of the modern jets with a fan spray pattern then I wouldn't broddle with it at all; I think that might be inviting even more trouble. Compressed air is worth a try, but the best solution might be a new one. Shouldn't be too expensive, but you never know until you check! If it does turn out to be ridiculously dear then having it cleaned in an ultrasonic bath might be another approch that could work.

😂   Funny thing, that...my wife is a tailor!! And that is also exactly what I used when I tried to resolve it myself!! 😅
I am scared I would break or crack something so I didn't press it too hard in the nozzle...

After that you can try copper stranded wire not a soled one just try 2 or 3 strands twisted together.

I that fails it remove the jet and blow it out in reverse direction no compressor then just try a plastic empty washing up bottle.

These are quite good, though I can't vouch for this brand personally.
