Egt sensor location

Hi I have a code p0546 circuit high bank 1 sensor 1 on my avensis 2016 2.0 diesel its a faulty sensor but need help in locating it as I haven't a clue

I think he means the Exhaust Gas Temp sensor, I'm afraid I can't help with the location, possibly around the exhaust manifold would be my guess but that's just a guess, give it a while OP and I'm pretty sure someone will show you where it is.

 

ETA: You try putting your VIN in here ..https://japan-parts.eu/toyota/ and see if that shows you a location ?

Hi Declan,To locate the EGT sensor. Open the bonnet and find the exhaust manifold, which is usually located at the top of the engine and connected to the engine block.Look for a sensor attached to the exhaust manifold or the exhaust pipe just after the manifold. This sensor will have an electrical connector attached and often appears as a small metal cylinder or probe. If you need to replace it, unplug the wiring harness before removing the sensor.Make sure the engine is cold.

Thanks I see 2 sensors that look like egt sensors 1 on left and 1 on the right I just don't know if bank 1 sensor 1 is the left or right
