Yaris hybrid mk3 wiper blade removal

Hi.

I can't seem to figure out how to remove the front wiper.

I lift the tap where it says open but I can't slide it off or get it off the hook.

Someone knows how to do it?

Thanks.

Greetings

Lift the tab with open on it, lift the wiper off the screen turn it 90 degrees towards the screen then push the blade towards the screen to unclip it. It might take a bit of force to release it.

I think I tried that already but it won't come of.

It doesn't seem to release the clip when I lift the open tab.

Do you know if my wipers are Denso?

Thanks.

I was being an idiot and lifting on the wrong end of the tab.

It now came off easily.

Greetings.

I would put the arm back down whilst getting the new blade.
If you knocked that or it went down by itself, that would probably crack your windscreen?

Good point but I had already replacement wipers on hand.

I wasnt sure how mine came off, so I had Kwik Fit replace it for me on a service - it looked different to how older Yaris Wiper Blades fitted on due to the pantograph style of the arm. I had my mother take hers to Halfrauds and they did it for her. Now I can see how to do it, I will do it myself the next time, as I dont like the stupid Bosch aero blade Kwik Fit put on mine, its not like the OEM style that was originally fitted. Halfrauds fitted the same type to my mother's too, so not sure why they are not fitting the Denso type any more.

Thanks @Ralph H for putting that video up - he explains the wiper change well in that video.

I actually replaced my wipers with Bosch aero twin so I hope it was a decent replacement.

Some say Denso are the better wipers.

Aerotwin is what I used - AR 708 U. Check carefully if the latch has engaged properly per the (currently) last post in other thread.
