This usb socket fits the auris switch sockets.

If your wondering where the left seat switch has gone. It was a icon with an upgraded heated driver seat replacement.

I guess it's only a 12/5 V DC transformer, but I don't dare put cheap chinese staff on the dashboard (sorry my prejudices...)

Prejudices only...

I use it for last 4 years without any issue, it's very good for long journeys, it charges phone slowly, but very good for keeping the phone Battery topped up when I use it long time for GPS and music listening in my car play player.

If I use the phone for GPS only, phone Battery has power enough for 24 hours, there's no need to charge it, but when I use internet radio, Battery consumption is bigger.

The next time my phone batt is low, i will measure the usb current supplied. I would hope in excess of 1 amp.

My wall outlet provides 1.5 amp in low Battery condition and phone shows "charging rapidy". I will compare the two, and lets see how true the QC (quick charge) chinese marketing is.

I hooked up a tablet and partially 70% charged phone to measure the total  current draw from a wall outlet. Then tried the same setup with a single socket from the cars outlet.

Looks promising @1.4amps from both charging outlets.

The rest, time will tell but im happy. I can monitor Battery voltage and alternator output easily, and quick charge my devices.
