P1049, check vsc system and check esp

I dad toyata avensis has got 

Check vsc system 

Check electronic park brake system faults on dashboard.

I connected obd2 to it and  got one fault p1049 valvematic controller.

The rear brake calliper is seized pretty much.

It it possible that all the faults listed could be a result of sticking rear brake calliper .

I understand regarding sticking  brake calliper can cause electronic park brake fault which in turn would throw up check vsc .

Is it possible that these issues are causing to read p1049 valvematic controller. 

Maybe this could be sensing some kind of extra force on the engine causing the p1049 fault

The sticky brake caliper should be fixed, but I'm afraid that P1049 still won't go away...
