Carplay not working after car stalls

Hi, my daughter is learning to drive on a 69 Aygo. When I connect my phone, carplay works fine, however if she stalls one or more times, it frequently loses the carplay connection and either does not come back on at all or takes me unplugging and replugging the cable several times for it to recognise it. Has anyone else had this issue and is there any reason for it or anything I can do to get it back working? Thanks

I've not had that problem, but Android auto can cut out now and again.

Common problem, Grab your phone:

1. Go to settings
2. Search "Background Usage limits"
3. Go to "Never auto sleep apps"
4. Press "+" select "Android Auto", "Map" and the music app you used with Android Auto.

See if that improves the disconnection issue.

Virtually every phone will have different menus, but I have everything turned on.
