Hello

First time posting, I have had 2x services on 2 separate cars ( sold 1 aygo last year and bought a aygo x ) just took aygo x in for 1st service today

Both service was a intermediate service but it says that they wash, hoover and fill washer fluid. Both times they haven't is this common that they miss it?

Thankyou

Hi Dominic, It’s not unusual for some service centers to occasionally miss smaller tasks like washing, vacuuming even if they are included in the service. This happens due to oversight, time pressure, or maybe if they think the car looks clean enough already. To ensure it's done in the future, remind them when you drop off your car off to make sure the cleaning is done. Check before you leave the service center and ask them to clean it if they’ve missed it. If this keeps happening at the same place, you might want to try a different service or bring it up with their management.

Before I put mine in for service I always clean and vacuum it myself. At least I know it will be done properly.👍

Last time I uses the dealership service was 18 years ago.  The task was then overtaken by local garage who get the job done at half of the price.  Since 2017, I carried out services by myself.

Seriously, unless you are paying for the service to extend Toyota's warranty, there is very little point for going back to the dealer.  A lot of people in the dealership are idiots that doesn't know what they are doing.

I have just had my first service done on the aygo x, they asked if I wanted it washed, I said yes and they did a decent job, next time you visit the dealer for a service, I would certainly ask them to do the wash/vacuum

Fair points, but the OP has a 2023 aygo x , really you have to use the dealer.

tbh I ask them not to touch the windscreen washer fluid sometimes as I have my own combination with rain X additive, so I don't like them adding to it anyway. I do my own checks that its full. To keep to the warranty conditions with new cars we have to use main dealers.

Ooh what's the rainx additive? I've only heard of it as a coating you apply when the windscreen is dry...!

Does it make the water bead off like the normal coating...?
