My Toyota app

Any advice, I’ve just set up the my Toyota app. All seemed to set up okay but there doesn’t seem to be any notifications  for unlocked , windows open etc when I turn the car off after the said 5-10 minute period. Notifications are set up correctly and my correct phone number is applied to the app. App says expires on Jan 2031. Any thoughts.

I don't think your model year of Yaris can give that kind of notifications. It requires a smart connection which the 2022 cars didn't have.

In polish catalogue, Smart Connect was available since the MY22, so it is possible that the 2022 Yaris has it.

It was available in my 22 Yaris excel which had smart connect fitted.

Does it allow you to click on “view status” in the app? And does it show the doors and windows status? If it does it should send you alerts if left unlocked.

@70mpg I'm not sure what Yaris you have. We have a 2022 Yaris and have the lock/unlock feature, as well as the remote start. Ours is an Excel with the Tech Pack. We also get the unlocked notification if the car is not locked.

I don’t see it in the status but I see this in notifications   Someone mentioned it has to activate properly at a Toyota dealer   I can see all my journeys and consumption information, mileage, fuel level and where the car is parked. I’ve only owned the car for  4 weeks

That would be for standard services.

Does it also list remote services and smart services? These two will expire 4 years from when the car was first registered. If they are not activated that’s probably why you’re not getting alerts.

I’m not sure it going to help with a 21 plate tbh, but I’ve just taken delivery of a MY24 YCP and I’d set the app up before I’d met the car whilst at home this just set up the Standard services only.
When I sat in the actual car I to remove/deselected the car from the app and started again, re-entering the vin and then scanned the QR code on the multimedia. It then set up not just the standard services (10 year license) but also Remote services and Smart services (both 4 year licenses).

might not help in your case but worth a try, all assuming the MY22 has such a thing.
