MK1 Aygo 2005 Engine info

Hi.

My son's Aygo MK1 2005 engine has died, 145k miles.

So looking at swapping it out for 1 from breakers to keep the car on the road.

Found 1 - 2011 70k miles

Is there anything we need to look out for when finding a replacement regarding fitment, are all the 1L versions compatible with each other?

Or are there differences etc.

Thanks

2009 on will be euro 5, 2005 will be the older Euro 4 engines there are some electric changes so you may find some sensors differ

find one from a Mk1 Aygo, 1kr from an IQ is different, and one from a Yaris has a few differences inc engine mounts

Charles Trent (Poole) usually has a good selection of engines

that is an internal production code not really of much use, check the crank and cam sensors have the same plugs as yours
