Would like to see Toyota improve current tech before adding

I just completed a Toyota owner survey that wanted to know if i was interested in sensors that predicted or alerted to situations that wold damage the car, such as trees or branches falling, safety bollards hitting doors.
No.
But i would like Toy to improve existing safety features such as a rear view mirror light that alerts me to blind spot cars. The light light is too dim and too far away that it does not catch my eye. It needed to be closer t9 the right snd much brighter! Placement on the mirror post, rqther than on thE glasswould also be an improvement.

The current implementation of the blind spot monitor is perfectly fine - it does not need 'improving'.

It exists to alert the driver to cars that might not quite be visible in the door mirror. The driver must be looking in the door mirror for it to have real value, and so the positioning and brightness of the alerting light is just fine.

The system also triggers every time you pass or are passed by a car on a dual carriageway or motorway. Having the lights any brighter or more conspicuous would be an unnecessary distraction.

I think it's on the mirror because if it wasn't then folks may end up over trusting the instrumentation display and not actually looking in the mirror. The way it's implemented forces you to look at the mirror. It's the best way.

I do however agree that it's not bright enough especially in bright sunlight. I can barely see it. The light output needs to be double in daylight and moded off day or night like many other things on the car so it's not a distracting brightness at night or in low ambient light.
