This was too irrestible tonight, had an old school Golf GTI take me on along a dual carriageway, he kept up until about 50mph then I pulled away quite comfortably, was all good fun really. This was the first time I'd really pushed my MR2 and I have to say it felt good and handled very well. Do the rest of you get boy racers trying it on? How do you react? I seem to get it quite a lot <_<

I usually get one max muppet a week .. and by yhte time I'm in 2nd I'm gone ..

The only cars that have shown me up were an R34GT-R, a 3000GT (that I found out after was 400+ bhp) and a 911 GT3 ..

A BMW M3 tried to race me , i was rather supprised i was leaving him behind

Sure it wasn't a M3 wannabe? some are... well depends on what age the car is, the new shape ones are hard to be wannabes..

You are right there Shelly .. a lot of wanna be's ..

The new M3 is VERY rapid though .. I don't usually bother .. I don't take losing and humiliation well ..

i was behind a new soft top M3 we were bothing flooring it he didn't get away but i didn't gain on it but me and my mate was shocked we thought i would get whipped :D

I don't get the usual boy racers in their novas/saxos etc here as they all know I'll poo all over them, so mostly they don't even try it on.

But when I'm out of town I get them... lol. Always poo all over them tho.

The Big Boys I've had play with me are a M3, Ferrari and a Supra TT. Nothing else scary.

If I know I'll poo on them I will... even if I don't... I'll still give it a good shot and see what happens.... lol.

All the time! Seems like everyone thinks they can beat a Mk1, there have been some very disapointed people! :D

I don't usually bother if it's a straight 'drag' but I'll have a go at anyone on the twisty bits!

used to get it all the time in my other cars but get it less in the 2! still get some stupid kids doing dangerous stunts to get past me in town though

Me and my mate have fun on the way home from work... he has an Escort Cossie. We both *cough* raced a 600cc bike last night just for fun... biker was impressed and gave us the nod and thumbsup.

Boy racers don't try it on with me... they all know my car in the area. Bloke I knew had an Esprit V8 Twin Turbo... we raced up to the speed limit in a 60... he sold it the following week and bought a Noble M12 (won't go up against that!).

ohh and back to the topic at hand... Boy racers try it on all the time here but then i think its just cos they wanna see me boot it...

I do the same against the big boys as well.. namely a DB9 and a SL55 AMG... now that thing was awesome!... the pickup was amazing!

I drove about town about 30mins ago. Was sitting at lights with a blacked out corsa next to me. A woman and her kid were crossing the road, they had passed me and the lights went to yellow... I went to drive off and so did the boy in the corsa !! The woman and her kid were still infront of him !!!

Obviously he wasn't watching. He slammed his brakes on and I just laughed at him.... muppet !

...i've witnessed my mate 'mad ted' on his ZX6R (600cc Kawasaki) kill a GT3000 that was tuned beyond belief....Reason for me witnessing it???....I was behind him when one of his soft luggage panniers came off at some crazy speed and i had to take serious evasive action to avoid death by a pannier coming straight at me!!!

We went and had a pint with the owner of the Mitsubishi after and he was some loaded mid 40 bloke who reckoned he had tuned the car to its max potential and was blown away when he new it was a 600 kwaker!!!

Haven't had too many "good" races with decent motors of late. A mate of mine several years back raced a group of 3 Porsche's on the way back from Castle Coombe. He passed them at around twice the national speed limit in a....

Mini

It was hysterical, the wings were flapping, the door panels were vibrating, and there was four of us in it!

As we passed the last one, the geezer in the 911 heading the convoy looked at us and did a double take. The look on his face was priceless. If he could have said anything, I guess it would have been something like:

"I've just paid 40 grand for this, and I just been smoked by four hippies in a 50p wreck!"

Truth is, it had a full race 1430cc motor in it producing over 160bhp at the wheels.

:lol::lol::lol:

People round here know i circuit race, and my car is well known. so i dont get boyraced. but sometimes i have a little play out of town.

my car isn't standard, and you'd be quite suprised at what "super cars" i've given a really good run for their money.

like the TVR chimeara 450 the other day. i knew he would kill me on the dual carriageway. but off the lights i got a belter of a good lead from him, i heard the TVR make the sexiest note a engine can ever make, and he was soon side by side with me again. but he did have to work that engine to catch up :)

Titto: used to own a ZX-6R there quite nippy little things, but i dont know about beating 3000 GTO lol, It's not the car; it's the driver behind it, i suppose :)

I do remember overtaking a porsche N/A on it once, is was going flat out, proper croutched down into the fairings, and was ever so slowly overtaking him, the comments in my head where priceless.

ZX-6R = £1,500 Porsche = £75,000+ lmao

oh i've got a fireblade now, so i dont worry about any cars at all now :D (except the one's with blue lights on top)

Seen this really nice light blue color supra down at my local McD's, it drove pass this boy racer in this blacked out corsa and i think it made that corsa boy feel really small...:lol:

But that supra was stunning!! Anyone on here own it?
