Hiya,  one week since I bought new car ,  well new for me )) 2021 ... And I still can't believe what massive difference is between them , the drive fell so smooth and is so powerful even in eco mode not  speaking about sport mode , I've always struggled with the 1.2 always angry because I was feeling that It doesn't have enough power  and somehow I was driving it reckless sometimes .. now with hybrid I found myself calm and I don't even care about the traffic anymore what matters is just a good score at the end ))))  the only problem is somehow I can't find my place with the seat I don't know why but I have a feeling that It gives me back pain hopefully I will find it son , what is your opinion on all season tyres?    tips and advices are all welcome 🤗

The front seat has an inflatable support for your back. It can be adjusted on the right side of the seat.

I've tried that, doesn't help 😞

Have you tried putting the seat height up as far as it goes?

I found the Corolla lower than my auris, so discovered that putting the seat height fully up helped.

I’ve had Michelin cross climate tyres on several cars. They’re good but I lost a few mpg.

as it’s just the cold early mornings I drive, rather than mud/snow the Bridgestone eco pia tyres I have now are ok. They’re a reasonable all round tyre.

I am a tall person 1.90 I can't raise the seat to much, but I will try tomorrow to raise it a little bit

If no snow and ice you don’t really need a v shaped all season tyres. They only exceed the typical summer tyre in these specific conditions and lack behind in all others., except slightly reduced road noise. Goodyear efficient grip performance 2 is all you need for most of the uk.
About the seat comfort , if putting up doesn’t help,  then try exactly opposite, Lowering down to 0 and start from there. I had same problem when moved from Prius to Auris, I hated the seats but I did this trick and now it’s all good. I use 3 pumps up on the height adjustment lever , then set distance to pedals, adjust steering wheel reach and then back rest recline and head rest one click up.
Enjoy your car , looks very nice.

If adjusting seats doesn't help then will need to get a lumbar cushion. My Yaris mk4 seat was giving me bad back pain, got a lumbar cushion solved the issue.

I don't know what it is about the seats in the newer cars but they just seem less comfortable than previous generations in general.

I think they are angled different and lower or some other fundamental change, as I never needed a lumber cushion until this car!

With tyres, if you're south of Milton Keynes then you can probably just run summer tyres all year round. If you live north of that then it gets a bit more tricky; If you frequently get more than a week of snow then at least all-seasons like the Michelin Cross Climates will be the least hassle. By the time you get north of Manchester then it's worth considering having a summer and winter set.

Yes, I was losing a couple of mpg. The back window/tailgate was always dirty as well as they create more spray than the standard tyres.

feel ok, a bit softer so more relaxing drive. I also drove them in 30 degree weather and they were ok, not as sharp as standard tyres.

big advantage was that in zero degree weather they drove like normal tyres at 5-10C.

the reason I don’t have them on the Corolla is the cost and I don’t travel as many early mornings as before. For the times I do, the standard tyres are reasonable if you are careful.

standard eco tyres are much better in winter than sporty summer ones, which seem to turn solid at freezing temperatures and have little grip. Worst I had were high performance p zeros on a 4wd suv loan car. They would just spin in winter.

Tend to agree with the seat comment - I always have the lumbar support at max, and feel more would be better.  Nonetheless the car is good on long journeys.

Know what you mean about drive pace.  I find in mine I meander along - mostly at high speed - with a lot of "lift and coast".  The point and squirt ability of the 2.0 is very good to get out of /past /into bother - and despite using it quite a bit my car has still averaged 56mpg according to the display, over 2 years and 24k miles.

I recently swapped my Falken tyres for CrossClimates.  I do agree that Summer tyres are maybe most appropriate in South, but we do travel to North East frequently, and have found the Falkens to be very poor and a handful in icy /slushy etc conditions.  Fingers crossed that the Crossclimates are better.  They ride a little better - more compliant so quieter and smoother over ridges, cats eyes etc, but are maybe going to be a little less economical, and yes they are a little less "pointy" than the Falkens.  When we lived in Tyneside - with a previous car - I had a set of wheels with proper Winter tyres that were used 4-5 months of each year, and made an astonishing difference in poor or cold weather.

Welcome and enjoy your car - for many years.

Hi Filip. I currently drive Auris 2 but no matter what I do I also feel like it gives me back pain. I'm quite tall(195cm). Lifting the seat helps a bit but then there is a problem with legs hitting the dash and headroom.I tried fitting into the new Corolla, and it feels better than the Auris, but I’m still not sure if it's comfortable enough. I'm considering purchasing it, although it’s not as spacious as larger cars, like the Toyota Proace.

Is it better now, did you get use to it? Did you also find Auris being slightly too small?

Hi , 1.95 that's a lot 😁👬 welcome to the club )) I am 1.90) in Auris I never used to have back pain while driving maybe sometimes after long drives which is normal for me I've been having black pain for years 😞 depends which Corolla if is hatchback is definitely smaller than auris if  is estate is bigger and you have more space, I still struggle to find my place sometimes in corolla but it better than first few days , a lumbar pillow from Halfords helped a lot I think ..

Corolla’s are generally smaller inside in comparison to both generations of Auris that were available previously. Smaller by all means, like head room and leg room. If you are tall person perhaps rav4 or cross variants if available in your country will be a better option. The estate Corolla only has a bigger boot and little bit more space on the rear seats, but headroom is still the same , low roof line it’s more than obvious.
