RAV4 PHEV Spare

Hi, does anyone know why the new RAV4 plug in Design comes with a space saver in the car but you cannot order one for the GR Sport version.

I’ve tried and by that I mean I’ve asked two different dealers now as part of my purchase of a new car.

Secondly - I have a space save kit from Toyota for my CHR 2.0 this one - can I lift this do you think and use for the RAV4? I do need to check the exact sizes but the CHR is a 19inch wheel as is the RAV4. Not entirely sure how the space save calc works!!!

Almost certainly to do with weight and emissions. Having a standard space saver in the GR Sport would probably push the car into the next emissions band.

Doesn't prevent you having a spare once the car has been delivered.
