Storage net fetish? What do you think? And a question.

So I've added my old storage nets and some new ones.

Here's what we are looking at...

Horizontal boot cargo net. Fastens to anchor points.

Vertical envelope boot cargo net. Fastens to forward anchor points and top of the rear seat catch.

Boot cubby hole storage net pouch. 3M adhesive velcro pads. Net has velcro.

Boot passenger side envelope net for water bottles.

And the last one I'm struggling with is a between front seat 3 envelope net to throw your McDonald's in, or whatever, I'm not really sure 😄. But, I'm not sure what the bottom clips can clip on. They're on elastic cords and stretch a lot. At present they're between a gap in the seat upholstery which isn't a sustainable solution. And ideas what I could clip this to? Not had a proper look under the seat yet.

So many nets? I don't have a fishnet fetish, not since Wednesday nights in the 80s are now a thing of the past, but I carry a lot of gear, both a permanent component and mission specific extras.

But I may have overdone the nets. 😂

I did wonder if I could just put a thick black tie wrap on somewhere in the base of the seat away from the rails or drive mechanism and then clip to the deliberately slack tie wrap.

Do you go fishing a lot?

Aye aye. Well, no actually. Not since the early 90s.

Have put a black thick tie wrap around a bracket doing nothing, to create something to hook onto. Seems to work.

Now I need to work out what I'll put in the 3 pouches. I'm thinking...

1. Large packet of cheese puffs

2. Bottle of coke

3. Box of tissues

Wet wipes for when you have a bag of chips.

A watermelon.

A small child.

I believe so although worth checking if that's just the hybrid rather than the PHEV. Never tried it. I've loaded up the under floor with Prepping gear 🤣 Just being prepared for the alien invasion in October.

Which storage net size did you buy for the boot side recess? That is the only one that interests me. Now we are dogless we don’t carry as much ‘stuff’ in the car.

One of these two... I can't recall which but think it was the second one. I put the 3M velcro pads on the sides of the cavity towards the front.

i got  a storage net from Amazon, it came with sticky pads, and lasted about 10 mins before they popped off, so attached it around the rear headrest posts, until i get better sticky pads.

3M pads work but don't attach anything to them for at least 2hrs. Let the glue dry.

A few years ago when we had two new Mazdas, I ordered a storage net from our local Mazda dealer.

When collecting them, the package seemed quite bulky, so I queried whether there was just one, and got told 'yes'. Got home and found there were 8. Gave a couple to my sister and still have the remaining 6.
