96 SSR-X Surf - Code 14 Check Engine Light

Hi Brains trust

I recently picked up what I believe to be bargain of a 1996 SSR-X Hilux surf 3.0l TD (1KZ-TE). I purchased the car through an auction site and have no contact with the previous owner, but it appears the car sat for a while before being sold. The only issue it has is code 14.

Before buying the car, I did some research for typical reasons of code 14 (old fuel filter, air in fuel lines and TCV).

So far I've replaced, the fuel filter, fuel primer, time control valve, installed new fuel lines on the easy accessible locations. I am planning on replacing the remaining fuel lines on the weekend.

When I first purchased the car, the check engine would be on and be lacking a lot of power.

Since the work I've done, it has improved slightly. I get 10-15 minutes of driving before the light comes on intermittently before staying on after roughly another 5 minutes of driving. If i start the car back up when its warm the light will remain on. If i do a cold start the light will remain off for 10-15 minutes again

Before the light comes on, there is a noticeable drop in power. Its still revs out like it normally would but just missing the regular power. Once check engine comes on, that's when it goes into what I assume is a state of limp mode.

My questions are,

Has anyone had anything similar and can help point me in the right direction?

What are some other fault points to consider for the code 14?

I love this car and can't wait to get it setup properly for touring and camping

All help and advice appreciated.
